Filmstrip
I had seen a tutorial in issue 48 of Photoshop Creative magazine on how to create a traditional filmstrip. Although this was a good guide to creating the illusion of a filmstrip, I felt it could do with a bit of a lift.
Photoshop Creative way
This was done as descibed in the magazine article to the letter and produced a very good result. I did find the warp transition difficult to apply whilst trying to maintain the overall scale but I got there in the end.
Saying that though, it did show you how to use methods that you would otherwise have not got to know about and so as a tutorial it achieved its goal of teaching you new things.
My way
There are 2 major differences in the way I did it. The first is that I scanned an actual negative strip for the excercise and secondly, I used a different method to warp the final image.
Again, I had to find out what to do and how to do it so it was also useful from a learning point of view.
